My facebook friends have AWESUM posts. I limit myself to under ten, that way I choose only the best to maximize your entertainment, political ire, and/or your general amazement.
Obama signed the health care bill and there was much linkage on FB about that. I won’t repeat the links since they are everywhere. Instead, here are some other things that surfaced on Facebook:
1. Bush and Clinton in Haiti — A short video capturing George Bush 43 wiping off his hand (on Clinton) after touching a Haitian.
2. Digitally aged celebrities — A very creepy page of photoshopped celebrity pics. Some are aged, some are made obese, some are made anorexic. Whatever the pics, it proves how thoroughly photoshop can change images.
3. Enlightened sexism – I’ve seen Susan J. Douglas’s book reviewed in several places. It’s in my cart at Amazon. The subtitle is “The Seductive Message that Feminism’s Work is Done.”
4. Prodigy, 13, claims age discrimination by UCONN — People often point to the pressure to have your life mapped out at an early age as one of the hallmarks of Gen Y/Millennials. Others claim that Generation Next suffers from an overweening sense of entitlement. While these characteristics might appear contradictory on the surface, I don’t believe they are actually conflicting. The boy in this article clearly illustrates both of these beliefs.
5. FBI faces new setback in computer overhaul — bureaucracy at its finest. We need these guys to fight terr’ists.
