I have been neck deep in Dreamweaver and learning CSS. Well, not really learning as much as hacking the template I found. I have something of a template put together. I’m not done with it and I think Willow probably needs to take a look at it to straighten some of it out. One thing that really helped me was installing this great Foxfire plug-in called Firebug, which lets you examine the source code of a website with greater ease and detail than the generic “view page source” button. I’m rather proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, though. I’m having some trepidation about converting the style sheet to fit blogger, though.

I have decided to buy Willow her own domain so that she can use that instead of using a subdomain of Voxygen. I didn’t know I could do that, but apparently I can! I get to have up to 10 domains on my space at Hostrockets.

In the mean time, the maymester has started and I’m half way through the first of three weeks. Class is going /really/ well. Their first round of speeches was strong. Summers usually have the best students enrolled. That’s been true of my experiences at four different schools. Students are usually more focused and ready to work because they know it’s a crash course. At BRCC we get a lot of people from other universities coming in for just a class in the summer, so the students are more prepared and less remediation is necessary.

Some Websites I’ve Recently Visited

1. The 12 Biggest Problems with your blogs. I’m guilty of many of them. Like posting links to stuff people already know about and that have been linked to hundreds of times.

2. This color converter is probably a well-known site. It converts hex color codes to rgb and vice versa. CSS uses hex codes and my graphics program, Microsoft Photodraw (ten years old, I know) uses rgb. I know you /really/ needed to know this. That’s why I posted it.

3. Julesart. I love Jules’s handwriting and Keith Haring-inspired fonts. They are a mainstay on my current Voxygen site. I forgot to transfer them over to the new computer, though, so I had to find them again and reinstall them.

Three Gratitudes

1. The technology at BRCC. It works 97% of the time and when it’s not, the tech people give great support.
2. Maymester ends in 2.5 weeks!
3. Light apple juice. I can’t seem to get enough of it lately.
