Oscars

I actually watched the Oscars last night, which is something I rarely do. Like the rest of the country, I thought Pan’s Labyrinth was a shoe-in for best foreign picture, but unfortunately it did not win.

I really like Ellen DeGeneres, but I thought she was sort of ho-hum on the Oscars. Her usual style, which is rambly, was inappropriate for the event, I thought.

I am glad that Forest Whittaker won best actor; I like his films a great deal and he is often overlooked.

So much for that.

I really liked Ellen at the Oscars, she was so relaxed. The Oscars are usually tense even for the viewer, but she made it a more casual affair.
