Listening: Wyndham Hill, A Winter’s Solstice IV

* and Barack are on the cover of Newsweek this week. There’s nothing of real interest in the article; it’s just more speculation about the democratic primaries.

* The Duke Case is being dropped because of lack of dna evidence. I’m sure there’s something Foucaultian to be said here about the money shot and (in)visible signifiers of , and the technologies of the legal system, but I’m not quite sure what it would be.

* I have two of four syllabi ready to go for the Spring and I’m slowly making my way through the textbooks. I’m worried, since I’ve thrown out all my stuff in a massive purge, that I don’t have very many resources. It’s going to be a true scramble next semester. I have got to stay on top of the ball and not be a flake.

* Today is mine and Stevie’s anniversary. 8 years together, married. At dinner I got to hear the recital ofwhat we have done on every single anniversary. Each year the list gets one year longer, too. It’s a very Stevie tradition.
